Superhuman 40 Transformation: Lekita Wysong
When I chose to do the challenge again, I decided this time I was not only going to follow the food and drink portion, but that I was going to push myself as hard as I could physically as well. Over the past three or so months, I have found my weights and strength increasing, as well as my ability to do certain CrossFit moves. Unfortunately, prior to the challenge I was still unable to complete an entire workout doing certain moves including toes 2 bar, kipping pull ups, and more consistency with RX workouts. My goals were to lose 10 lbs, do kipping pull ups for an entire workout, toes 2 bar for an entire workout, and strengthen my core. I would love abs (that you can see)! I would love to complete as many RX WODs as possible and increase my PRs.
I weighed in at 148 on the morning the challenge started. As of Friday I completed 5 RX WODs during the challenge, I set 5 PRs and on Saturday morning I weighed in at 136. I went from a size 6/8 depending on the brand to a 4. I currently have about 4 pairs of lulu shorts that no longer fit and fall down during workouts. Overall, I feel great! I never had a down moment with energy. There were days I was more tired, but it usually corresponded with me pushing it harder that morning during my workout. My only cheat was red wine on date night. I’m not a huge sweet person, so avoiding that wasn’t hard at all. The wine I missed and the dairy!
I believe my body looks completely different. It appears more toned and I feel stronger. I did the first challenge and really enjoyed it, but between I relaxed a little too much. I love cheese so I naturally went right back to eating it. This time I don’t think I will revert back as much because I truly love this style of eating and my family has also adapted to it. My husbands pants are fitting larger these days too, which is a nice little bonus.
Now that I see what I can do I am going to stay committed, because I think i can still improve. I don’t really care about the number on the scale anymore, but I know there are areas I can definitely improve. I just turned 32 and I can honestly say this the healthiest and strongest I have ever been. My husband told me the other day that not many men can say after 11 years their wives got hotter, as he loves to say ” thank god for CrossFit”!
Thanks to all my coaches and my 9amers! I love the support and seriously look forward to coming every morning!
